“Tutto il grasso minuto per minuto”: a congress on fat
“Tutto il grasso minuto per minuto, everything you’ve always wanted to know about fat… and that nobody has ever told you”. The congress on fat will be held at the Grand’Incontri Congress Centre in Rimini on May 3rd and 4th, 2024.
The event, chaired by Professor Giorgio De Santis and sponsored by SICPRE, is an opportunity to gain a comprehensive and detailed understanding of fat from a disciplinary perspective. Sessions, workshops and discussion enriched by interventions and insights from expert professionals in the field. The main theme, namely fat, will first be analysed from a regulatory and historical perspective, subsequently they will discuss the pathologies associated with it. From breast reconstruction to autoimmune rheumatological pathologies to orthopaedic issues of the knee, shoulder and much more.
On Saturday, May 4th, discussions will revolve around the correlation between fat and a range of practices. For instance, hand rejuvenation, total or hybrid mastoplasty, total or partial breast reconstruction. There will also be moments dedicated to the interactions between fat and the refinement of breast reconstruction, cryopreservation, dermal substitutes and facelifts. Not to forget the modalities for treating chronic pain following mastectomy and the entire discourse on body contouring.
Workshops and ECM credits
At the end of the third and final session, there will be a “Workshop Smith and Nephew”: preventive treatment of infection and dehiscence in breast reconstruction. Following this, certificates will be awarded, and the event will be concluded.
The event offers the opportunity to earn ECM credits. To accumulate these credits, participation in at least 90% of the training activities is required. Additionally, attendees must belong to at least one of the professions or disciplines for which the event has been accredited.
Once the program is completed, participants are required to pass a learning assessment test. Finally, they are asked to complete a satisfaction survey, necessary for collecting feedback.
The conference is also organised thanks to the unconditional support of Revée, which recognises the importance of delving into topics like this, fostering a better understanding for continuous education purposes.
