“Cute Project” supporting developing countries
Cute Project, an organization providing medical aid to some of the world’s most underprivileged areas, has organized two fundraising events in September to support its activities. These events will be an opportunity to meet team members, hear their stories, and contribute to the cause. The events will take place on Saturday, September 14th, in Termini Imerese (PA) and on Monday, September 30th, in Turin.
The latter will be held at 6:30 PM at Cookin’ Factory, located at Via Gerolamo Savonarola 2M. It will include a cooking class followed by a charity dinner. The goal is to raise funds to support the restart of projects, both in Italy with Sermig and in Uganda, starting in February 2025.
The History of “Cute Project”
The project was founded in 2012 by Dr. Daniele Bollero, director of the Burn Center and specialist in plastic surgery, and it operates primarily in Africa and Latin America, from Benin to Bolivia, from Congo to Uganda.
Bollero, a long-time volunteer with experience in various associations, dedicates part of his life to providing concrete help where it is most needed. The decision to establish “Cute Project” was born from firsthand experience and awareness of the challenges faced by Third World communities. In many of these areas, there is often a strong preference for natural medicine practices and a resulting distrust of conventional medical treatments.
This reality has driven the project not only to offer treatments but also to focus on training local personnel. The aim si that of promote a better understanding and acceptance of modern medical practices.
The emphasis on prevention is crucial, especially in contexts where resources are limited, and access to information is often scarce. “Cute Project” has found fertile ground for collaboration, particularly in Uganda, successfully establishing an effective network of cooperation and gaining the trust of the local population. This example of cooperation demonstrates the importance of a respectful and integrative approach to community care.
