Advanced Breast Plastic Surgery: the new AICPE course
On November 3rd and 4th, Palermo will host the Advanced Breast Plastic Surgery with live surgery. The new AICPE course on specific techniques related to additive mastoplasty.
The first interactive Pan-European course, presented by Dr. Egidio Riggio and Dr. Giovanni Zabbia, will take place in Palermo at the Hotel Splendid La Torre di Mondello. Its focus is on technical aspects of additive mastoplasty and is a project organised in collaboration with AICPE. Recognised by SICPRE, ESAPS, ANISC, the University of Palermo, and the presidency of the Sicily Region. Among the sponsors is Revée, supporting the initiative, a result of collaboration between scientific societies and institutional interest in initiatives related to scientific updates. The event will host many national and international guests to share and discuss their experiences.
The program between education and updates
This course is aimed at an international audience to impart knowledge and provide suggestions for improving practical surgical approaches. The event includes an informative and communicative part, as well as live surgery with Professor Mario Pelle Ceravolo, during which simultaneous translation is provided.
Experts in breast plastic surgery will focus on preoperative planning and all fundamental details, as well as on challenges related to surgical procedures for excellent aesthetic results. Controversial topics and their respective solutions will also be included to continually educate and update specialists and future plastic surgeons. The latter must be able to identify all possible fundamental variables, understand how to manipulate them. Also, be aware that preoperative marking, implant selection, and meticulous execution must be accurate and performed without haste.
Young surgeons are also encouraged to write about breast surgery with the opportunity to win the 300 CHF prize and receive certification for the “Best Paper in Surgical Techniques Development”. Dedicated to those enrolled in the course. However, to be considered eligible, a scientifically updated review of the long-term results of breast augmentation and implants must be submitted, with the first author being a young surgeon aged 35 or younger, also specialised and enrolled in the course.
Anyone enrolled in the Advanced Breast Plastic Surgery Course has the opportunity to participate for free in the Symposium organised by Similed on November 3rd, starting at 10:00 AM. Dr. Henrique Cintra will be involved in a live streaming surgery connected to the Splendid Hotel La Torre.
