11th National Congress of AICPE
Three days of congress to deepen and update knowledge, fostering scientific exchange. From April 12th to 14th, the 11th National Congress of the Italian Aesthetic Surgery (AICPE) will be held. The event, hosted at the Palacongressi in Rimini, boasts the participation and contributions of both Italian and international professionals who will share their expertise and knowledge.
The main topics will include breast implants and their safety, body contouring for men, surgery addressing gender dysphoria, and the latest updates on facial surgery with a focus on aesthetic surgery of the eyes and eyelid region.
Over 500 Italian members will gather to participate in speeches, workshops, and roundtable discussions on the most relevant and current topics for the profession of plastic and aesthetic surgery. Various topics will be explored, including regenerative surgery and medicine, as well as therapeutic strategies aimed at treating breast asymmetries and malformations. The interventions and discussions will be led by experts in the field, facilitating exchanges on clinical cases and unveiling the latest innovations. Participation in this congress is indeed an opportunity to stay constantly updated on the most recent techniques and knowledge.
The event, accredited for Continuing Medical Education (ECM), offers the opportunity to earn educational credits upon full participation in the proceedings and educational activities.
Transmission of knowledge for continuous education
During the congress, particular attention will be dedicated to aesthetic breast surgery, with a focus on various procedures. From additive and reduction mastoplasty to mastopexy, as well as insights into techniques combining the use of implants with fat grafting. Entire sessions will be centred on breast oncoplasty, an approach that aims to preserve the aesthetics of the breast as much as possible during breast cancer treatment.
On Saturday, April 13th there will be a session of the AICPE Aesthetic Surgery Academy. This project is designed for the training of young aesthetic surgeons with the aim of transmitting knowledge acquired by the more experienced members to future aesthetic plastic surgeons.
Through operating room tutoring and theoretical meetings, participants will be able to grow professionally, contributing to the advancement of the field.
Revée is a gold sponsor of the event, promoting continuous enrichment of skills for an ever-evolving surgical practice. The ultimate goal is patient protection with an emphasis on increased safety. The body should be cared for without forgetting the emotional and psychological needs, hence the overall mental well-being. This congress dedicates space to recognising the therapeutic role of aesthetic surgery in restoring the psycho-physical balance of the patient. This branch of surgery contributes to improving self-esteem, reducing anxiety, or overcoming emotional issues that significantly impact individuals. Addressing mental well-being as well as physical well-being means moving towards a more holistic approach to medicine.
